On 20 February 2006, the domestic library that first applied RFID technology---Chenyi College of Jimei University began to put into use. It has 300,000 books, and its system includes self-borrowing, self-returning, workstations of librarians, tag switching, collection checking, and 24-hour self-returning devices. From that time, it is indicates that RFID technology has stridden an inspiring step on the application in domestic libraries. On September 2007, the Chenyi College Library of Jimei University was founded, and the RFID system was updated and increased as a whole. In addition, the books collected ware up to 600,000, more functions were realized, including large-scale self-service borrowing and returning, and 24-hour out-of-library returning, as well as guiding, positioning, putting onto shelf, sequential shelving, and quick checking. This system was constructed by Shanghai RFID Intelligent Tag System Technology Co., Ltd. and adopted the products with independent property rights. Up to now, each RFID technology is applied normally, and the reliability and construction quality of the system have been fully validated, which means that home-made RFID system can completely satisfy the business operation requirements of libraries. At the same time, Shanghai RFID System Technology Co., Ltd. has implemented RFID system to Xiamen Children¡¯s Library and Shanghai Municipal Changning Library in succession. At the first construction phase of Xiamen Children¡¯s Library, the books collected were 25,000, while those of Shanghai Municipal Changning Library reached 150,000. Thus, Shanghai RFID Intelligent Tag System Technology Co., Ltd. is already able to provide its library RFID system for public halls, college halls, children¡¯s halls, forming an overall library RFID solution.
