"Zhongshan Study" is a convenient public reading space project brand covering towns and districts in Zhongshan City. On the eve of World Reading Day in 2019, 19 Zhongshan studys equipped with face recognition system opened on the same day, further reducing the threshold of "Nationwide Reading".

These Zhongshan studys are constructed in accordance with the unified standard. They realize the functions of readers' self-service inquiry, self-service borrowing and returning, self-service card handling and digital reading without the need of librarians. Readers only need to use ID card for face recognition verification when borrowing books for the first time. After that, they don't need to carry any certificates. They can complete the entry and exit of the study and the book borrowing and returning by face.
